The role of the Product Development Specialist is to develop products, strategies, and business plans for upcoming products in support of overall corporate direction identified by the Aftersales Manager. They watch the market trends to develop plans that will increase sales, establish deadlines, and ensure the product development is on schedule. The Product Development Specialist will report to the Aftersales Manager.

The Product Development Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Coordinate with Aftersales Manager and assist in development of new and existing products
  • Manage and maintain professional relationships and communication with vendors, agents and accounts
  • Assist merchandising and sourcing teams for all product development and sourcing
  • Assist vendors to select appropriate color and components as well as evaluate all materials for compliance and quality to standards
  • Manage all production problems and ensure timely resolution for same
  • Monitor development process and ensure compliance to schedule and timeframe
  • Analyze current marketing trends and ensure consistency of styling with same

REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree or equivalent
  • Solidworks and Adobe Design Suite experience prefered
  • Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Outdoor and off-road vehicle experience preferable
  • Consumer product design experience
