About the ASE Certified Technician position

We are looking for an experienced ASE Certified Technician in both electrical and mechanical systems to join our ePowersports Production team at Volcon ePowersports. This person will play a critical role in ensuring that our electric motorcycles and 4x4 vehicles coming off of the assembly line are built to our standards, achieving the expected quality and performance, and will be safe for our customers to operate. Duties will include supporting manufacturing process setup and procedures, quality inspections, vehicle validation and testing, mechanical and electrical system debugging and adjustments, and being hands-on with the team of production technicians, engineers, and product development teams. This position will work closely with quality and plant management.

We expect you to possess extensive mechanical and electrical system skillsets, be ASE certified in several fields (or able to get it quickly), and be able and willing to jump in to solve problems immediately.


Technician responsibilities are:

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership

  • Understand, follow, and support development of instructions and established procedures

  • Work closely with all levels of the production team, be communicative and supportive of the team goals

  • Perform accurate and effective diagnosis of issues, repairs, and corrective actions

  • Prepare reports on issues, malfunction or defective parts or assemblies and submit to your supervisors

Technician requirements are:

  • 4+ years' experience as an ASE certified (or equivalent) automotive or powersports technician

  • Ability to read and utilize schematics and work instructions to perform a task properly

  • Operate equipment such as a dynamometer, motorcycles, offroad 4x4 vehicles, manufacturing tools

  • Strong technical knowledge with good understanding of quality control principles

  • Strong communication and team player skills

  • High School Diploma and ASE or equivalent certifications
